“We are ultimately spirit, and spirit lives beyond matter. That’s just fact.” This thought has played on my mind recently. That’s because I feel something big is happening. A cosmic shift. Not just in technology. But in us, as humans (and our role in technology).
Every day, there’s a new AI tool, a new platform update, a new headline about how machines are changing the way we work, create, and connect. Yes, it’s extremely exciting. It’s powerful and it’s moving fast. Speed and innovation are floating to the surface. And yet, there’s a quiet discomfort being brushed under the rug.
We’re creating MORE than ever. Posting, producing, publishing all day, every day. So why do we feel more invisible? Less heard? Why do we see ourselves as LESS human?
As I ask myself these questions, I’ve realized that the answer is a spiritual one. It’s not just a digital transformation anymore. And it’s raising a bigger question: Are we losing who we are?
This Is a YOUman Revolution: AI as a Way of Being
You’ve already heard me say this… AI isn’t just another tool. It’s reshaping how we move, think, and show up in the world (online and offline). Organizations are going “AI-first,” restructuring their workflows around machine learning and automation. LinkedIn, for example, is adjusting its algorithm to prioritize AI enhanced content and search. Entrepreneurs are harnessing AI to scale faster than ever.
As a ladyboss business owner and woman in tech, who prioritizes staying ‘in-the-know’ with the latest tech developments in my space, I’m fascinated by the innovation happening around me like:
Healthcare: AI is speeding up early diagnoses and uncovering critical patterns in imaging that weren’t visible before. (Science News Today)
Climate & Sustainability: AI climate tech startups raised over $6 billion in venture capital through 2024, more than the entire previous year.
Manufacturing: From predictive maintenance that prevents downtime in factories to smarter supply chain logistics, AI is boosting efficiency and safety across industries. PwC reports that AI ready industrial firms see nearly three times the growth in revenue per employee compared to less adapted sectors.
Education and Upskilling: AI curated learning paths, personalized tutoring, and micro-certifications are making it possible for millions to reskill quickly in high-demand areas. In fact, PwC’s 2025 AI Barometer reveals that roles exposed to AI saw 38 % growth in job listings, even in sectors considered highly automatable and workers with AI skills command a 56 % wage premium (PwC).
The Democratization of AI: The Good and The Bad
AI is allowing professionals to spend MORE time looking at high level problems, and not be so stretched on admin tasks that can now be automated. For example, writing a job description for our company as someone who isn’t a recruiter, used to take me hours, and I absolutely dreaded doing it. Now, I ask my ChatGPT (who’s already trained up on StandOut Authority’s mission, services, and messaging as well as my own voice)
“Hey, I’m looking for a part time social media manager and need your help writing the job description. It’s important that this person has at least 2 years of experience, worked at an agency and on social media accounts, and has some branding and marketing expertise.”
When I delegate those procrastination hours to AI, I get back precious time to spend with Josh.
Something that simple, and I get a nearly perfect job description. A task that would normally take me two hours plus my procrastination hours, now takes me 15 minutes.
But, with anything new, we must be aware of the cons. With AI, it’s opened the flood gates to deepfakes, cyberattacks, and misinformation.
🟣 Deepfakes are eroding trust as people don’t know what to believe. Deepfakes aren’t just a tech gimmick, they’re AI-made videos, images, or audio so realistic that even experts struggle to tell them apart from reality. In fact, research shows we’re “not much better than a coin flip” at spotting them. That’s a problem when the same tools that fuel creativity can also spread deception at scale, eroding trust in news, media, and even democratic processes. Experts are calling for Content Credentials, like a nutrition label for digital media, so we can verify what’s real without becoming full-time fact-checkers. Until then, the digital world will keep asking us: “Can you trust what you see?”
🟣 Cyberattacks are evolving in sophistication and scale and normal every day people are being scammed with complex tech systems. Cybercrime isn’t just targeting big corporations anymore, it’s hitting ordinary people, and the tools are getting smarter by the day. AI-powered scams can mimic voices, spoof emails, and adapt in real-time, making them nearly impossible to spot. The World Economic Forum warns that attacks are increasing in both sophistication and scale, with criminals using the same advanced tech as legitimate businesses to automate fraud, steal identities, and exploit trust. In today’s digital world, a well-crafted scam can land in anyone’s inbox or phone and fool even the most tech-savvy among us.
🟣 Misinformation is at an all time high. And it floods our social feeds like a waterfall. Misinformation isn’t just background noise anymore, it’s the #1 global risk in the next two years, according to the World Economic Forum. AI has put misinformation on steroids, cranking out fake stories, images, and videos faster than we can blink. They’re built to play on our fears, fuel outrage, and slide through social feeds like wildfire. And once they stick, they divide us, erode trust, and shape real-world outcomes. The fix? Teach people to question everything, build tools that can verify truth instantly, and push platforms to slow the spread of lies.
Many people feel overwhelmed, disconnected, and unsure where they fit in this new landscape. We are leveraging AI to innovate, operationalize, scale and expand impact. And at the same time, we’re longing for authenticity, human connection and belonging.
The Real Risk with AI is Losing Ourselves in the Race to Optimize
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, over 12 million jobs are expected to be reshaped, or fully replaced, by AI by 2030. From operations to marketing to customer service, every function is being evaluated for automation potential. At the same time, LinkedIn Learning has reported a 30% increase in usage over the last year alone. People are waking up and do NOT want to be left behind.
So we’re caught in this paradox:
💜 We need to evolve.
💜 We need to stay visible.
💜 We need to upskill.
But in doing so, we risk losing the very thing that makes us human: our voice, our story, our relationships. It’s like a complex math equation for the soul. How do we grow our skills but keep our heart firmly in place? Maybe just maybe this is our wake-up call, to remember who we are beneath the titles, tools, and constant noise of the internet. To create not just to keep up, but to truly connect.
I see it happen all the time when clients lean into their humanity and lead with their story. Donna A. Decker from The Kavi Group came into our session hesitant about LinkedIn, thinking it was only for job hunters or salespeople. By the end, she told me she had “a whole new perspective”, not just on branding, but on telling her story with confidence and authenticity.
Presenting on Personal Branding for LinkedIn with the Kavi Group.
Jessica Windham shared how she joined because she hated “slimy sales tactics” and wanted a way to grow without sacrificing authenticity. After working together, she learned how to connect human-to-human, turn post reactions into real relationships, and align her online presence with both business and personal goals.
That’s what happens when you focus on your superpowers and bring your fullest expression to life online while also using AI as a tool: you stop blending in and start standing out.
How to YOUmanize™ as a Conscious Entrepreneur
We’ve been here before. New technology emerges, and we rush to adapt. Often, WITHOUT asking the deeper questions. But this time it feels different.
Not sure about you, but I’m here to lead with clarity, with heart, and with purpose.
I invite you to:
✅ Get conscious about how we use AI
✅ Lead with human-first values
✅ Center your personal brand on connection, not just content
AI will NEVER have YOUman technology. You do. Use your human-ness for good!! Here’s where I see the path forward. Personally, professionally, and soulfully:
1. Be Conscious with AI
This isn’t about rejecting AI. It’s quite the opposite. It’s about using it with intention. Let it spread your message wider. As technology evolves and involves itself in our day-to-day life, the more you, your values, your voice… MATTER.
2. Step into Real Human Experiences
Consider retreats (I did an incredible one a few weeks ago), jump into honest conversations, share an open minded conversation with someone with a totally different viewpoint from you. Go and have that coffee in person, not over Zoom. Those day-to-day human interactions will stand the test of time. And that’s the stuff that touches the soul.
3. Upskill with Purpose and Vision
AI is no longer just making things faster. It’s giving creativity a new meaning. It’s making the once impossible, possible. Dedicate a few hours each week to upskilling yourself through self paced courses, YouTube tutorials, or reading articles just like this one. Start accumulating knowledge. At Standout Authority, Josh and I are developing something deeply human. Something that, just a few years ago, would’ve required $50K and months of work just to start.
We call it Launchpad, your springboard to showing up authentically, building real connections, and creating content that resonates in a world drowning in noise. And we’re kicking it all off with the YOUmanize™ Your Brand Podcast, real conversations with leaders, creators, and changemakers who refuse to lose their humanity in the AI era.
🎧 Join us live for the launch event, be part of the conversation, connect with other visionaries, and walk away with tools to YOUmanize™ your brand from day one.
